Membership
PCLT is a membership based organization - it's the "community" in Community Land Trust. Members vote on the board of directors, on changes to the by-laws, and on issues concerning removing properties from trust.

All PCLT homeowners are automatically members, ensuring full representation of homeowner interests and giving homeowners a real say in the organization.

Everyone serving on the PCLT board of directors is also a member. And, our board nicely reflects our community: one-third of board members are PCLT homeowners; one-third are community/organization partners or people who are somehow similarly connected; and one-third are general members of the public who value our work and are committed to our mission.

We value active, engaged members, yet we also need and value donors and supporters who can't be active members but who do support our work.

Volunteer
Volunteers make a big difference in our work creating homeownership opportunities in Portland. We have a place for you, whether your interests are office-related ~ such as filing, committee work, and envelope-stuffing ~ or more extraverterd ~ such as public speaking, public policy advocacy, or helping PCLT homeowners with yard landscaping or home repairs.
